Methodology

Every figure has a source. Here is how.

How official and licensed data becomes one reliable picture: reconciliation, confidence scoring, and error correction — the discipline behind every figure.

Official first.

Public registers and official statistics are the backbone. Licensed and modelled data enrich them — they never replace them.

Traceable always.

Every figure carries its source, confidence, and freshness. If a number cannot be traced, it is not published.

Modelled means labelled.

Where a value is estimated rather than recorded, it says so — with the confidence band shown, never hidden.

Built on data you can rely on.

The intelligence rests on official Swiss public data, official statistics, and licensed datasets — lawfully obtained, continuously maintained, and verified before anything reaches a screen. You don't have to take the foundation on faith: every figure in the product shows you, right where you read it, what it rests on and how current it is.

Official & licensed only

Nothing scraped in the dark, nothing of uncertain provenance. If a dataset can't be used lawfully and traced cleanly, it doesn't enter the pipeline.

Proof in the product

Trust is earned per figure, not claimed per page: source class, confidence, and freshness are attached to every number, everywhere it appears.

How sources become one picture.

01
Ingest & normalise

Each source is ingested on its own cadence, converted to a common schema, and stamped with its origin and retrieval time.

02
Match & reconcile

Records referring to the same property, parcel, or entity are matched across sources. Conflicts are resolved by source precedence — official registers outrank modelled values — and the losing value is kept, visibly, in the audit trail.

03
Score confidence

Every figure receives a confidence level from its source class, agreement across sources, and freshness. The score is shown wherever the figure is shown.

04
Monitor & correct

Anomaly checks run on every ingest. Confirmed errors are corrected at the source record, and the correction propagates to every surface — with the change logged.

Confidence levels
RecordedTaken directly from an official register or statistic. Source and date attached.
CorroboratedTwo or more independent sources agree within tolerance.
ModelledEstimated from comparables and market models. Always labelled, always with a band.

The confidence level travels with every figure — you always know which of the three you are reading.

Found an error in the data?

Corrections are handled like the data itself: logged, traced, and propagated. Report it and we will follow up with what changed.
